How does it work? Medical abortion via telemedicine involves the same steps as an in-person medical abortion, but you do not have to travel to a clinic. Instead, a reproductive health specialist provides counseling via telephone or videoconference. Then you can purchase abortion medications from a pharmacy, or they can be sent to you by mail. You will follow your provider’s instructions for administering the pills when you receive them. At any moment, if you have questions or concerns, you can contact your provider. A week after administering the pills, your provider will contact you via telephone or videoconference to check in and determine if any additional care is needed.

Am I eligible? You are eligible for this service if you do not have contraindications, you have an unwanted pregnancy and you want to terminate the pregnancy via medical abortion. You must administer the medication before you are 63 days (9 weeks) along in your pregnancy. To receive a consultation, you need access to a device with internet connection and a webcam and microphone.
